Provincial commissioner wishes the community and visitors of Mpumalanga a happy and safer Easter Holidays

The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela wishes the community of Mpumalanga a happy and safe Easter weekend. The Commissioner also assures the people of Mpumalanga that she has ensured that police are deployed in strategic areas throughout the province so that there would be peace and stability whilst at the same time people would celebrate without any fear or hindrance.

“Mpumalanga is one of the preferred tourist destinations and as a result we expect visitors to come and witness the scenic beauty of our province. Therefore our SAPS members, working in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies will be ready at all times to ensure the safety of our tourists. Our communities and business community will be protected too” said Lieutenant General Manamela.

The Provincial Commissioner also requested the community to comply with the law, as well as to be patient with other road users in order to avoid unnecessary confrontations. The liquor business owners must also comply with the regulations and be responsible to ensure the safety of their patrons.

The Provincial Commissioner will be visiting all the roadblocks in the province to ensure that law enforcement members, as well as the general public, are in compliance.
