Members of SAPS Ga-Rankuwa arrested a suspect in De Wildt earlier today, 21 April for possession of presumed stolen property.
According to a preliminary report, police obtained information about an alleged delivery of copper cables set to take place in the area of De Wildt. The SAPS members intercepted the suspect’s vehicle along the N4 road and conducted a search.
This led the police to recover copper cables with an estimated value of R200 000; the suspect was subsequently arrested.
Further investigation is still underway.
