Two VRMED medics injured in bee attack while attending collision in Curie avenue in Bloemfontein.

On Friday afternoon around 14:50, VRMED was dispatched for a collision at the intersection of Curie and Vereniging road. On arrival, crews found two vehicles involved in a collision. While busy assessing the occupants a swarm of bees started attacking the crews and involved parties.

Three of the VRMED medics were stung multiple times with two having to be rushed to nearby LifeRosepark hospital. Both medics were treated for allergic reactions to the bee stings.
