Just before 8 am on Saturday morning, Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to a shopping centre in Centurion for reports of a stabbing incident.
On arrival on scene, a male patient, in his forties, was found with multiple stab wounds all over his body.
It is believed that the patient was rushed to a doctor’s room by his wife after he was assaulted and robbed whilst jogging in the area.
The patient was found to be in a critical condition and was stabilized on scene by Emergency Care Practitioners.
Due to the nature of the patient’s injuries a decision was made to airlift the him to an appropriate facility with the assistance of the Netcare911 aeromedical helicopter.
