An Ethekwini Municipality employee was seriously injured after he was stabbed in the face during a robbery in the Verulam CBD – KZN yesterday (Thursday).
The 38-year-old arrived at Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Headquarters yesterday afternoon bleeding excessively from his injury. His right cheek was partially torn off. He informed Reaction Officers that he was confronted by five (5) suspects who attacked him without warning before stealing his Samsung cellphone and wallet. The victim thereafter walked to the RUSA Headquarters for assistance.
He was transported to a medical facility for treatment.
