On Wednesday, 08 June 2022 detectives of the Provincial Commercial Crime Investigations (OCI) unit together with brand holder representatives of Adams & Adams identified and recovered counterfeit goods with an estimated value of over R400 000-00 in Johannesburg.
The detectives reportedly conducted an operation at an identified business address in Johannesburg city. Along with brand holder representatives, the business premises was searched which resulted in the recovery of 646 pairs of counterfeit shoes (“Carvela”).
The manager of the shop was subsequently arrested and is expected to appear before court soon.
