At least ten suspects in two vehicles kidnapped a Security Officer during a home invasion on Kingfisher Road in Dawncrest – KZN.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to a residence. On arrival, it was established that at least ten suspects forced their way into the house. They ransacked the home in search of valuables. The robbers also entered a CMT factory which was operating on the rear of the premises. The staff locked themselves in the toilet when they realised the premises was being robbed. The robbers stole several handbags, a TV, cellphones, and jewelry. They kidnapped a Security Officer who was conducting street patrols before they sped off in a silver Mercedes Benz and a silver VW Jetta 5. He has dropped off a few kilometers away from the scene.
The same suspects then robbed two other homes in Trenance Park – KZN minutes later.
