Reaction Officers are currently searching for 18-year-old Nothando Shabane who was kidnapped on the corner of Fairview Drive and Todd Street in Brindhaven – KZN.
A white Ford Ranger (registration unknown) and a white VW Polo with registration NJ 57101 stopped while Shabane was walking with friends. An occupant of the bakkie accosted the teenager and asked her if her name was Andile. The man was in possession of a knobkerrie (Traditional Weapon).
He then forced her into the VW Polo. Both vehicles sped off in the direction of Redcliffe – KZN. Each vehicle had four male occupants. The victim has a younger sister who is a grade 9 student at the same school. Reaction Officers are also attempting to track her and confirm her safety.
