Cooperation between K9 Unit West Coast and security personnel led to the arrest of 30-year-old suspect for possession of stolen goods and tampering with essential infrastructure.
On Friday 10 June 2022 at 06:15 a member attached to the K9 Unit West Coast received a complaint of suspicious persons who were busy stealing copper cables near Saldanha Steel. One suspect was arrested after he was found in possession of cables. The damage to the infrastructure from where the cables were stripped, is estimated at R200 000-00.
