A red Nissan 1400 bakkie that was parked in the garage was completely destroyed in a fire at a property in Trenance Park – KZN this morning (Saturday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to Marula Circle at approximately 01:53 after receiving reports from residents that a building was on fire. Reaction Officers and RUSA Medics were immediately dispatched to the location provided and on arrival found that the garage and vehicle were engulfed in flames. The Ethekwini Fire Department arrived on scene shortly thereafter and extinguished the blaze. The cause of the fire was not immediately established.
The vehicle was completely destroyed and the building was extensively damaged.
