22-Year-old injured in a structural collapse in Redcliffe

A 22-year-old man suffered moderate injuries after an informal home collapsed on him in Hilltop, Redcliffe – KZN.

The man and a friend were assisting a neighbor to demolish a dilapidated building when the structure collapsed on him. Neighbors sifted through metal sheetings and concrete before freeing him.

Reaction Unit South Africa received a call for medical assistance. On arrival, RUSA Medics treated the man for moderate injuries before transporting him to the hospital by ambulance.

His friend was not injured.
