A bakkie involved in a collision was stopped by members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) after it sped off in the Verulam CBD – KZN today (Friday).
The driver of a white Toyota Hilux bakkie sought assistance from RUSA Members after a white Opel Corsa bakkie failed to stop shortly after it collided into the rear of his vehicle. The driver provided the registration number which was circulated to Reaction Officers conducting operations in the Verulam CBD. The Opel Corsa bakkie was spotted on Todd Street at approximately 12:53.
Reaction Officers forcefully brought it to a stop. The driver explained that the brakes on his vehicle failed when he collided into the vehicle in front of him.
The complainant opted not to register a criminal case and decided to resolve the matter amicably.
