A man was killed after he was shot by suspects fleeing a home invasion on Jackal Road in Waterloo – KZN.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance. On arrival, it was established that two armed suspects held up a man as he was entering his house. The suspects robbed the occupants of the house of six cell phones. As they were exiting they shot the 29-year-old neighbor in the neck. Witnesses were unable to confirm if they intended on robbing him or if he attempted to apprehend them.
The man was rushed privately to a medical facility where he was declared deceased.
