Partnership policing proved to be fruitful after a business robbery was perpetrated at a supermarket in Milnerton on Thursday afternoon at about 16:10.
The suspect entered a supermarket and threatened the complainant with a firearm and demanded money. Fearing for his life the complainant opened the safe and the suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and a laptop.
The other suspects were busy inside the store taking money from the cash registers. They fled the scene in a vehicle but were apprehended shortly after the robbery by Milnerton police and private security. Two 9mm pistols with ammunition were recovered. The three suspects aged 23, 25, and 27 were arrested on charges of business robbery and the possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
The suspects will make their court appearance in the Cape Town Magistrates Court on Monday.
