Theft suspect apprehended in Brindhaven

A 28-year-old male was apprehended after he stole from a property in Brindhaven – KZN.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance after a suspect entered a yard and stole valuables from the property. The resident provided a description of the suspect to the Controller on duty. Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and details of the suspect were relayed via radio to responding vehicles.

Reaction Officers on the route to the premises spotted a suspect matching the description fleeing on Fairview Drive. Officers intercepted the male and recovered the stolen items in his possession. He was positively identified by the complainant.

The suspect was released after the resident declined to register a criminal case as the items were of minimal value.
