An ATM user was robbed, assaulted with a beer bottle and stabbed shortly after making a cash withdrawal in the Verulam CBD – KZN yesterday afternoon (Saturday).
The victim arrived at Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) HQ at approximately 18:52 bleeding from his injuries. RUSA Medics provided first aid to the victim who explained that he was confronted by unknown males as he was leaving the Capitec ATM on Moss Street. The men assaulted him with a beer bottle on his head and stabbed him on his arm before they stole the R800 he withdrew.
They then fled in an unknown direction.
