A medical Doctor was robbed of his cellphone as he entered his surgery in the Verulam CBD – KZN.
The Doctor was about to enter his practice when he was approached by a well-dressed man who informed him that his vehicle had rolled and almost drove over his foot. The man distracted the Medical Practitioner as he brushed up against him. He then walked away when the Doctor realised that his iPhone 13 which was in his back pocket was missing.
The pickpocket fled in a silver Toyota Etios sedan with an unknown registration.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) conducted an extensive search for the occupants of the vehicle at approximately 10:07 however no arrests were made.
The matter has been reported to authorities.
