SAPS Hekpoort members arrest four alleged burglars and recover presumed stolen property

Members of SAPS Hekpoort arrested four suspects, aged between 34 and 43 years old, on Tuesday, 16 August 2022 for theft and possession of presumed stolen property.

The arrests emanate after SAPS Hekpoort received a complaint of theft at around 02:00 and proceeded to the address. While on their way, the members noticed a bakkie parked on the side of the R560 Road and stopped to investigate.

Upon further investigation, the members found four suspected stolen tyres. While interviewing the driver of the bakkie, three of his accomplices were hiding in the bushes and attempted to flee however, all four suspects were apprehended.

A search led the SAPS members to recover housebreaking implements, a presumed stolen generator, compressor, bicycle, pressure washer, electric appliances, and various other items.

All the suspects are expected to appear before the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court soon.
