Man killed during an argument in Magwaveni

A 30-year-old man was fatally injured after he was stabbed during an altercation while consuming alcohol with friends in Magwaveni – KZN.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the area after the deceased was discovered unresponsive in his bed. On arrival, the Medics examined the male and found that he had sustained a stab wound to his left arm and chest.

It was established that the deceased was consuming alcohol with four other men outside his residence. At some point, the victim and one of his friends began arguing. The suspect produced a knife during the altercation and stabbed him twice before fleeing the scene on foot. Details surrounding the argument could not be established.

The critically injured male attempted to stop the bleeding on his arm by applying a tourniquet. He proceeded into his residence and collapsed on his bed. His friends found him unresponsive during a wellness check.

A case of murder is being investigated.
