Police need information after two security officers were shot by unknown suspects.
On 18 October 2022 at about 19:02. The two security officers were allegedly conducting their patrols around Waterkant Street in Odendaalsrus when their vehicle was approached by three unknown African males who started shooting at them. The guards returned fire injuring one of the suspects.
Both guards sustained gunshot wounds on their bodies and were rushed to hospital and are recovering.
Odendaalsrus Police opened two counts of Attempted Murder cases for investigation and anyone with information that can lead to the arrests of these suspects is requested to contact Detective Warrant Officer Maria De Wet of Odendaalsrus Detective Services on cellphone number 073 200 2739 or Crime Stop number 08600 10111.
