A male suspect was arrested by the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) Operations officers in possession of a stolen motor vehicle and two signal jammers at 14th Avenue, Fairland.
On Tuesday evening 25 October 2022, while traveling home along 14th Avenue officers were flagged down by Fidelity security officials in front of the MTN SA office who needed assistance regarding a stolen Lexus LX570 SUV and a male suspect who they had apprehended in possession of the vehicle.
The security officials explained to the officers that the vehicle was stolen at Malanshof, Randburg, and the male found in possession of the stolen vehicle was also in possession of two signal jammers.
The suspect was arrested and detained at Fairland SAPS. The stolen vehicle was seized and booked in at the SAPS Aeroton pound for further verification.
