A 27-year-old man will appear in court on Monday, 21 November 2022 for the alleged murders of his two children, aged 7 and 9 years, at Thafeni Location, Nqabara outside Dutywa on Friday, 18 November 2022.
It is alleged that an argument broke out between the suspect and his mother. His mother then left his home to go to her home which is nearby leaving behind her grandchildren.
The following morning she was informed by her neighbors that her son had killed the children.
The suspect handed himself over to the local community members who summoned the police.
The motive behind the killing of these children is unknown at this stage and a case of murder (2 counts) is under investigation.
