Housebreaking suspect arrested on Litchie Crescent in Brindhaven – KZN

A suspect who gained entry onto a property on Litchie Crescent in Brindhaven – KZN was apprehended by Reaction Officers a short while ago (Thursday).

The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Operations Centre received a call for assistance at approximately 18:37 after a passerby noticed the man climbing a tree and attempting to jump over a boundary wall. Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and on arrival noticed the suspect fleeing on Litchie Crescent. Officers pursued and apprehended the man. It was confirmed that the residents from the property that he attempted to gain entry to were not at home at the time of the incident. The suspect informed RUSA Members that he is a heroin addict.

Officers identified the suspect as a habitual thief who was previously apprehended for theft and house break-in in Missionlands and Temple Valley.
