No injuries were reported after a light motor vehicle crashed due to inclement weather on the southbound lane of the R102 between the Canelands & Verulam – KZN robots this afternoon (Sunday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on the scene at approximately 20:43 and discovered a white VW Polo Vivo with extensive front-end damage. According to the driver, his visibility was obscured due to heavy rainfall. His vehicle struck a water patch before it spun out of control and crashed into a concrete barrier. The driver and his three passengers were not injured.
The vehicle was extensively damaged.
