Man killed on route to tuck shop in Cottonlands

A 33-year-old man was gunned down near his home in Cottonlands – KZN.

A Member of the Community Policing Forum (CPF) from the area contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at approximately 20:49 requesting medical assistance for the victim.

RUSA Members were dispatched to the scene and on arrival discovered the victim lying on an unpaved road. He sustained gunshot wounds to his face, abdomen, hand, and back. He showed no signs of life and was declared deceased. Two spent 9mm cartridges were recovered.

According to his father, the deceased left his residence to purchase bread from a tuck shop approximately 50 meters from their home.
