Midlands ems Howick Advanced life support paramedics were called out to the N3 just after Tweedie for a Pedestrian who had been knocked down.
Upon arrival it was found that the Pedestrian had sustained critical injuries with amputation of one of the legs, once stabilized patient was transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
The exact cause of the accident is under investigation by local authorities.
