Shots fired by fleeing suspects in Mountview

Multiple shots were fired by suspects while fleeing the scene of a robbery on Bridgeford Drive in Mountview – KZN.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received several calls from residents reporting a shooting in progress. All available Reaction Officers were dispatched and on arrival discovered a large crowd at the scene.

The 23-year-old Somalian businessman informed Officers that he had been confronted by three unknown males. One of the individuals produced a firearm before they entered the tuck shop and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

The victim was pistol-whipped during the incident. The robbers fired multiple shots before they sped off in a white Toyota Etios with an ND registration.

The victim sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention.
