Suspects fished and killed two Koi from a pond on Tangerine Street in Trenance Park – KZN earlier this morning (Friday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the property at approximately 02:23. On arrival, the homeowner informed Reaction Officers that he noticed two males on his carport while monitoring his CCTV. The suspects used fishing line and caught two Koi. The thieves abandoned the fish on the carport after they realised they had raised suspicion.
Both fish died prior to being returned to the pond.
