A 46 year old man was injured after he was assaulted during a robbery on Todd Street in the Verulam CBD – KZN yesterday afternoon (Saturday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene at approximately 16:57 and located the victim bleeding from a laceration behind his left ear. He informed Reaction Officers that he was confronted by an unknown male who stole his Polo baseball cap. The suspect assaulted him with a beer bottle before he fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The victim received first aid on scene.
