Duo arrested for dealing in drugs and possession of suspected stolen goods

Members of Upington Border Police and Highway Patrol conducted address verification inspections following an arrest of a 54-year-old male person for dealing in drugs on Friday, 10 February 2023.

Upon arrival at the residence of the suspect the police found laptops, cell phones and watches to the value of R 200 000-00.

A woman, aged 27, was arrested for possession of suspected stolen goods. During further investigation another house was pointed out where drugs including mandrax tablets, tik, cocaine and heroin to the estimated value of R 92 800-00 were found. The police also discovered more cell phones and watches at the residence.

The two suspects will soon appear in court on charges of dealing in drugs and possession of suspected stolen goods.

Police will continue unabatedly to clamp down on crime ensuring that we squeeze the space for criminals to operate.
