RUSA Helicopter, Pilot, and Crew lifted off in search of 29-year-old Shaun Ramsunder who drowned in Umhlanga – KZN on Monday (20/02/2023).
Based on expert advice, Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) has extended its search North of Umhlanga – KZN in an attempt to recover the body. According to experts, based on tide and wind direction, the body could have drifted from the initial scene.
The search crew would be using this information and expanding the search between Virginia Beach and Tinley Manor both North and South of the drowning scene.
This extended search is expected to span two hours. An update to follow.
