An unknown male who cried for assistance for several hours was discovered dead seventeen hours later.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) was called out to Pioneer Road in Redcliffe – Kwazulu Natal.
Upon arrival Reaction Officers met with a group of locals who pointed out a man lying face-up next to a Jackfruit trees alongside a gravel road.
Paramedics declared him deceased. The man was found without his shoes and had sustained bodily injuries. His shoe was located near his body.
According to residents, they heard a man cry for help for several hours since yesterday morning. The screams continued throughout the night. Residents in the area failed to call Law Enforcement and explained to Reaction Officers that they believed the screams were from a local quarry and not in their immediate vicinity.
The man has not been identified.
