A 25-year-old man was severely injured during a robbery in Canelands – KZN.
Residents of an area known as Hilltop in Canelands – KZN contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) requesting assistance for the victim. On arrival, Reaction Officers discovered the male lying on the road. He sustained a Bowl Evisceration after his abdomen was slashed during a robbery.
His colleague sustained blunt force trauma. He informed Reaction Officers that they were employed at a farm. They were confronted by five armed suspects who assaulted them with firearms before they stole several valuables stored in a shipping container. They thereafter stabbed one of the victims before they fled. The two men sought assistance from residents of Hilltop.
Both men were transported to the hospital for medical attention.
