Just over 1000 #PoliceTrainees, which were recruited by the South African Police Service (SAPS) in Gauteng, arrived at SAPS Academy in Tshwane this morning to commence with the Basic Police Development Learning Programme (BPDLP).
This intake forms part of Project 10000 aimed at adding more boots on the ground in the fight against crime.
Officers from SAPS Gauteng Human Resource Management (HRM) and Human Resource Development were also present to welcome the new trainees.
