An alleged drug dealer was shot dead shortly after leaving a bar on Wick Street in the Verulam CBD – KZN during the early parts of this morning.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on the scene and discovered the unresponsive male lying on the pavement. He had an Okapi pocket knife with an exposed blade in his right hand.
According to witnesses, the deceased was a drug dealer operating in the Verulam CBD. Three men in a silver BMW (registration unknown) stopped next to him shortly after he exited the bar.
One of the passengers exited the vehicle and shot the man once before they sped off.
One spent 9mm cartridge was recovered at the scene.
