The South African Police Service in Giyani has launched a massive manhunt for a 34-year-old suspect who stoned his 23-year-old ex-girlfriend, who is also his baby’s mom, at Dzingidzingi village, on Saturday 08 April 2023 at around 03:00.
It is alleged, that the victim was with her friend coming from the local tavern and going home when they met her ex-boyfriend. It is alleged that the two had a confrontation before the suspect assaulted the victim with a stone. Her friend screamed for help and ran to households nearby, when she return the victim was critically injured and unconscious. The suspect was nowhere to be found.
The victim was rushed to the hospital where she later succumbed to the injuries. She was identified as Nokuthula Sithole, aged 23, residing at Dzingidzingi village in Giyani, Mopàni District.
The Police were informed, a case of murder was opened and a manhunt was immediately activated.
Police call on Ceaseman Dala Chauke. aged 34 to avail himself at his nearest police station as it is believed he will assist the police with further investigation.
