A 23-year-old man was injured after he was struck by a bakkie on New Glasgow Road in Hazelmere – KZN today (Tuesday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on the scene at approximately 10:42. It was established that the male was struck by a white Toyota Hilux bakkie (registration unknown) which sped off from the scene. A passerby stopped and assisted the injured pedestrian before contacting RUSA for assistance.
The pedestrian was stabilised on the scene before being transported to hospital by ambulance.
