We recovered the motorbike thanks to the vigilance of our team! While patrolling on Tuesday morning on Kiepersol Street Cnr Frangipan Street, Officer Mokoena noticed three males running towards a nearby bush with a motorbike.
Our officer immediately became suspicious of this behaviour and stopped to investigate. As he stopped, the three suspects dropped the motorbike and fled, disappearing into the bush. Officer Mokoena realised that the motorbike was stolen and immediately requested backup. SAPS arrived on the scene and asked if our officers could load the motorbike on our vehicle, as they do not have an open bakkie and take it to the Police station. The bike was taken to Middelburg SAPS and booked in.
The following day, the bike owner visited our Fidelity ADT Middelburg office with the proof of documents stating that it was registered in his name and that he owned it. SAPS returned the bike, and the owner was delighted with our officer for recovering it. Well, done team!
