On Thursday evening ECSA received reports via community groups of a structural fire in Eeufees street, Florida Lake.
ECSA dispatched crews and resources from CoJEMS station 20 to the scene.
On arrival a residential property was found to be fully ablaze. ECSA together with CoJEMS gained entry and started with extinguishing operations.
Additional ECSA crews arrived on scene to assist with scene safety and protection of equipment as motorists were driving over the hose lines.
Once extinguished thermal imaging technology was used for dampening down and mop up operations. The scene was made safe, made up and handed over to fire safety for their investigations.
We would like to thank Cllr Finn who assisted with communication due to signal constraints on the radio networks.
