Suspects wanted for a business robbery in Middelburg arrested in Ivory Park

Three males wanted for a business robbery in Middleburg, Mpumalanga were arrested by the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) K9 Unit in possession of two unlicensed firearms and ammunition in Ivory Park.

On Wednesday morning, 31 May 2023, officers received information of the suspects involved in the robbery and the operational team proceeded to three given addresses in Ivory Park where they managed to apprehend three male suspects identified from CCTV footage of the robbery.

Two unlicensed firearms with serial numbers filed off and ammunition were recovered. A white Nissan NP200 used in the commission of the crime was seized in Tembisa and booked in at the SAPS Aeroton pound.

The suspects were detained at Ivory Park SAPS and the investigating officer from Middleburg was informed of the arrest and arrangements were made to transport the suspects back to Middleburg to face the charge of business robbery.
