Two alleged drug dealers behind bars in Upington

Two men alleged to be drug dealers were caught off-guard and placed safely behind bars in Upington.

On Tuesday, 23 May 2023 Upington Border Police and Upington K9 followed up on information of drugs sales at two premises in Pabalello, Upington.

The information was operationalised and both premises raided which resulted in the following successes.

The first adult male suspect was arrested after police searched his house and confiscated Tik with an estimated street value of R33 600-00.

Police found tik valued at approximately R2 400-00 and arrested the second male suspect.

Both suspects will be charged for dealing in drugs and will appear in theUpington Magistrates Court, soon.

The Acting District Commissioner, Brig PC Coetzee commended the community for their role in fighting crime. Police will intensify their efforts in the proliferation of drugs.
