South Africa’s Favourite Used Cars on Sale Now

According to AutoTrader’s annual industry report, the Toyota Hilux is the most sought-after used bakkie in South Africa. This is not surprising, seeing the bakkie was also the country’s best-selling new vehicle in 2022, with more than 30,000 units sold. But overall, Toyota doesn’t win the prize as the most popular brand of used cars.1

Volkswagen wins the top spot

All three of Volkswagen’s Polo derivatives reached the top ten used vehicles, with the standard Polo coming second, the Golf sixth, and the Vivo in seventh place. 1
