The swift response by members of Hermanus SAPS on information they received about a firearm at an address in Tsandu, Zwelihle, landed two men aged 37 and 61 behind bars on Thursday afternoon. The members followed up the information and searched the premises and found a .38 Special revolver without a serial number and ammunition, an imitation firearm, 59 bankies dagga and 45 ecstasy tablets and an undisclosed amount of cash in the house. The suspects were arrested for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition and the possession of drugs.
They will appear in the Hermanus Magistrates court on Monday on the mentioned charges.
