Victim shot during a robbery in Redcliffe

A man was shot in the abdomen during a robbery at a truck yard on Oakford Road in Redcliffe – KZN.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the premises after receiving reports of a shooting. On arrival, Reaction Officers were advised by a female that she resides on the property. She was investigating noises in the yard when she was confronted by three armed suspects.

The men stole her Samsung Galaxy cellphone and were attempting to steal a truck when the male victim entered the property to investigate the commotion. He was shot in the abdomen. The suspects abandoned the truck and fled in an awaiting red Toyota Corolla (registration unknown).

The victim was transported privately to hospital.
