Limpopo MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Florence Radzilani has celebrated international Mandela Day at Epilepsy Elandsdoorn Centre in Moutse, Elias Motsoaledi Municipality, Sekhukhune District.
The MEC is joined in this Mandela Day Programme, by Officials from the Dept of Transport and Community Safety, Correctional Services, Social Development, Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipality and the Greater Sekhukhune District Municipality.
Clrs Lizzy Lekwatsipa and Nkitseng Ramongana, are acting Executive Mayor and Mayor, of both the Elias Motsoaledi Local and Sekhukhune District Municipalities, respectively.
They planted trees as part of a donation coordinated by the government to the centre.
MEC in her address, acknowledged all stakeholders who made various forms of donations, recognising this significant occasion.
MEC Radzilani implores Officials in her Department, to make sure that in 2 weeks’ time, they must come back to this Centre, and hand over clothes that are not in use, at their homes.
The MEC went further, and indicated that “donating old clothes, does not stop anyone, from buying new clothes, and donating them”.
“This”, she says, “will be the best way, to preserve the memory and legacy of the great Madiba”.
