The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Gauteng, Lieutenant General Elias Mawela is visiting his alma mater Phalesane Primary School in Temba, Tshwane District this morning, 18 July 2023, to donate a chess boardset and sports gear in a concerted effort to create a safe and secure environment at schools within the province.
This forms part of the province’s Mandela Day initiative that seeks to use sports to prevent children and the youth from being involved in criminal activities and create safer schools.
