Lansdowne police is urging the public to assist them in locating a person of interest who committed a business robbery in their policing precinct.
Reports suggested that four unknown armed males entered a local shop near to the corners of Wetton and Monton Road on Tuesday, 20 September 2022. They threatened and assaulted the complainant, and ultimately fled the scene with valuables with an estimated street value of R11 000. Three suspects were arrested and detained and were released on bail whilst the investigation into the circumstances continued.
On Monday 03 July 2023, a warrant of arrest was issued for 31-year-old Aphiwe Ngqebe of Sweet Home Farm, near to Vlei Informal Settlement, when he failed to present himself in the Magistrate court in Wynberg.
