SAPS Tzaneen activates search operation for a missing learner

The SAPS in Tzaneen are investigating a case of a missing 15-year-old girl, Zante Maraz who was last seen on Friday 11 August 2023 at approximately 07:00am.

According to the preliminary report, the girl was last seen by her mother when she dropped her off at Ben Vorster High School in Tzaneen town where she is a grade 8 learner.

It is further reported that an hour later, the mother received a phone call from the School and that’s when she learnt that her child was never at the School.

The child’s mother reported the incident to the Police after she looked for her at friends and relatives without success. A missing person file was opened and the Police activated the search.

Zante Maraz was wearing a school uniform, a white shirt with the school emblem, dark grey trousers, and black shoes.

Police are extensively investigating the disappearance of this missing girl and they are seeking assistance from the public.
