A multidisciplinary operation between the Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Johannesburg and Johannesburg Metropolitan Police K9 Unit yielded positive results when three suspected drug dealers were arrested in Centurion on Monday, 14 August 2023. Members followed up on information about drug dealing in the Centurion area, when they spotted two suspicious vehicles while patrolling the area. While observing the parked vehicles the officers noticed three male occupants standing around the vehicles carrying a white bag.
The officers approached the suspects and upon searching them they found 11 kilograms of heroin. The officers proceeded to one of the suspects’ residence where they found another 20 kilograms of heroin with an estimated street value of R200 000-00.
The three suspects aged between (24) and (47), were arrested and are due to make their first appearance at the Pretoria Magistrates’ court tomorrow, 16 August 2023.
