A suspect was apprehended and narcotics confiscated in the Boksburg area

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) Officers, arrested a suspect for possession of illegal substances, in the Boksburg North area.

EMPD Officers on the crime prevention operation, spotted a suspicious 38-year old male on 8th street and the body search, was conducted.

Officers uncovered and seized 5x ziplocks of CAT, 5x ziplocks of crystal meth, 1x medium plastic of crystal meth , 4x full mandrax tablets and 1x half mandrax pill, valued at R1500 and a total cash, of R370.

The handcuffed suspect charged with possession and possible dealing in illicit substance, was marched to the Boksburg North Police Station and is expected, to appear at the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
